The DeKalb City Council will discuss revisions to Chapter 54 of its Unified Development Code and a $250 fine for each of the last two regular meetings that 3rd Ward Alderman, Victor Wogen missed. Also on the Monday, Dec. 14th meeting agenda is a public hearing for a proposed property tax increase.

This is a great link to the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Winter Road Conditions map. It’s kept up to date and you if your phone can go online, you should really keep the link to it on your phone as well.
The road will show green when it’s clear of snow and ice. Not much green there tonight. Yellow means partially clear, and red is snow covered. Click here to go to website.

The City of DeKalb is holding an informational meeting at 8am Tuesday, December 15, in the Council Chambers of City Hall to discuss a staff proposal for revised regulations on temporary signs. Business owners, not for profit organizations, and community members are advised to attend.
The DeKalb Plan Commission will then discuss the proposed changes at its December 16 meeting at 7p.m. in the Council Chambers. For changes to a city ordinance a public hearing is held.
