This Friday through Sunday is the annual Somonauk Summer Fest. The event kicks off with a cruise night from 5-9pm on Friday, followed by three days of fun including live music, games for everyone, and a parade.
There will be food booths and a beer tent starting at 5pm on Friday. Live music featured in the beer tent Friday will be Spoken Four. Games, balloon rides and bingo round out the evening.
The ‘Rock the ‘Nauk – Run / Walk’ will begin on Saturday morning in Somonauk, starting at 8am. The Summer Fest Parade starts at 10am. The day continues with games, a craft fair, Tractor Pull, food booths, beer garden and more live music. Saturday’s live music will be the Karen Hart Band and Friction.
Sunday the Somonauk Summer Fest begins with a sunrise church service and pancake breakfast. The Craft Fair, food booths and games continue on Sunday. There will be a mud volleyball tournament at 10am, a vintage baseball game starting at noon and a Texas hold-em game in the beer garden from 1-5pm.
