Candidate Forum at the Egyptian

Candidates for 16th Circuit judge, county state’s attorney, county clerk and recorder and 14th U.S. Congressional District representative  each presented their case to voters at the Egyptian Theatre in downtown DeKalb. Doggie Daycare Football party a touch down!

The Chicago Bears won & we had so much fun!  We transformed our Doggie Daycare to look like a football field.  Our customers were excited to bring their pooches for a little football action.  There were passes, punts, tackles, and touch downs! 4-C Offers Parent Education Classes

4-C: Community Coordinated Child Care is offering a parenting education class at Brooks Elementary School in DeKalb from September 29th-November 3rd (Wednesday evenings). The program offers information to parents regarding child development, communication, self-esteem, stress and anger management, child guidance and family life. Participants can expect to interact with other parents in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere and to receive information about the latest parenting techniques.

The class is offered free of charge. Participants meet once a week on from 6:30-8:30pm at the school. Free child care is available. Registration is required and space is limited. DeKalb Chamber hosts Candidate Night

The DeKalb Chamber of Commerce will once again sponsor and host a local Candidates Forum at the Egyptian Theatre in DeKalb on Tuesday evening, September 28, 2010. The event is free and open to the public.

The Egyptian Theatre provides a near perfect setting for such an event that is a well organized moderator/town hall style forum. Candidates likely to appear on the stage include (alphabetical order) John Acardo and Jim Luebke, DeKalb County Clerk & Recorder;  Clay Campbell and Sarah Gallagher-Chami, States Attorney; and Tom Doherty and Judge Jordan Gallagher, 16th Circuit Judge. Candidates running for County Board (DeKalb) Districts 06, 07, 08, 09 and 10 will also likely be in attendance.
