Kishwaukee College will be holding an Open House this Monday, February 21st from 9am – 1pm in the Kishwaukee College Conference Center, with check in beginning at 8:30am. The Open House is titled Kishwaukee College: Real Opportunity—Discover Yours! and will feature several sessions geared toward students who are currently making their post-high school education plans. The information is just as relevant to any young adult who is looking at Kishwaukee as a college option.
Sessions being offered during the Open House include: Transfer 101-earning an Associates in Arts or Associate in Science and then transferring to a four-year institution; Cruising the Career Track—an overview of the programs available in the Career Technologies division; Navigating Financial Aid—paying for college and applying for financial aid; Family FAQ—a question-and-answer session for families hosted by a variety of campus professionals; Campus Tours—walking tour of Kishwaukee College; and Academic Edge—academic success tips and support services.
In addition, information booths will be available in the Conference Center Atrium. Each table will feature a different student services area, and professionals will be on hand to answer questions on topics ranging from the admissions process to payment plan options. Light refreshments will be available. The Open House is free.
Although prior registration is not required, students who RSVP for the event– on the Kishwaukee College Facebook page or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org — will be entered into a drawing to win the latest generation iPod Nano or three credit hours of tuition at Kishwaukee College for Fall 2011. In-person registrants are welcome, but will not be entered in the drawing.
