DeKalb’s 4th of July Celebration

Bring chairs, blankets, games, and appetites for an afternoon and evening with family and friends at Hopkins Park at 1403 Sycamore Rd. in DeKalb. Food booths from many favorite local caterers, grills, and vendors will be on sight in the early afternoon hours. The DeKalb Municipal Band will perform in the bandshell before and during the fireworks. Fireworks at dusk are co-sponsored by the DeKalb Park District and City of DeKalb.

Kirkland’s 4th of July Celebration

Kirkland’s 4th of July Celebration continues with a parade at 11 AM Wednesday. At 12 noon – 10pm the lunch stand, bingo, flea market and carnival rides are open for the day. A live band Enroute will play from noon -3pm in the beer tent. There will be a magic show, a dance show and pedal pulls. From 6pm – 8pm watch The Couch Coins Band and from 6pm – 9pm the Blooze Brothers play live in the beer tent.  At 9:30pm are Kirkland’s Fireworks with their Raffle Drawing following the Fireworks.

Shabbona’s 4th of July

Shabbona’s celebration  includes a Lions Club Pork Chop Dinner from 4:30 – 7:00pm. Fireworks are at dusk, sponsored by the Shabbona Fireworks NFP Committee.

Sycamore Speedway’s 4th of July Celebration

Stock Car Racing Special Event, all classes. Races start at 7pm, Time Trials start at 6pm, Gates open at 4:30pm.  Large Firework Display after the races.
