Bowl for Kids Sake Kicks Off Thursday!

bowlforkidssake16They’re going to be rustling up a good time for a great cause this March so get ready to trade in your cowboy boots for bowling shoes because it’s time for BOWL FOR KIDS’ SAKE 2016! Bowl for Kids’ Sake (BFKS) is the largest fundraising event of the year for Big Brothers Big Sisters of DeKalb County.

Even though it’s probably the best time you’ll have in rented shoes, it’s about raising money to help local kids on the path to fulfilling their potential and succeeding in school and life. The bonus is the bowling party to say “Thank you” to everyone who raises at least $75 for the event. Round up your posse because fundraising starts now and top fundraisers will earn some great prizes!

This year’s bowling dates and times are:

MARDI GRAS LANES in DEKALB

Thursday, March 3rd 5:30pm or 7pm –Bowling is open to everyone but they’ll be featuring the first ever BATTLE OF THE BANKS!

Friday, March 4th 5:30pm or 7pm -Bowling is open to everyone but they’ll be featuring the first ever GUNS & HOSES COMPETITION!

Police and fire departments go head to head to see who can be the bigger heroes when it comes to raising money for kids. Make sure you support your favorite department by making a donation to their team because the winning department goes home with the trophy and the title of Guns & Hoses Champion.

Saturday, March 5th 4pm, 6pm or 8pm –Round up your posse and come dressed in your best “Old West” costume for a chance to win prizes during WILD WEST COSTUME COMPETITION! BONUS: They’re going to make it feel just like you’re bowling in wide open spaces as they turn the lights down to see the stars come out. Family Cosmic Bowl is the 4pm session.

Sunday, March 6th noon, 2pm or 4pm –Bowling is open to everyone but they’ll be featuring the first ever CHURCH CHALLENGE and SCHOOL SPIRIT SHOWDOWN!

Churches, it’ll be time to change out of your Sunday Best into your bowling shoes because church teams will show their charitable spirit in a friendly competition to see who takes home the trophy as the winner of the 2016 Church Challenge.

Teacher, principals and students, show your school pride and get your teams ready to teach other schools a lesson in fundraising. The school (includes pledges collected by student, teacher and admin teams) who has the highest in pledges will have bragging rights and the trophy to prove they’re the winner of the 2016 School Spirit Showdown!
