Doing Business with the Federal Government
The White House Business Council and the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce invite you to participate in a roundtable discussion on August 9th on business opportunities with the federal government and the direction federal business will be moving.
Since April 2011, the White House Business Council has held over 500 meetings with business and civic leaders in all 50 states, Washington DC and Puerto Rico. The purpose has been two-fold: 1) to get feedback on what the Administration can be doing more of – or less of – to support job creation; and 2) to ensure that local business leaders are aware of the Administration’s programs and resources that can help them grow, hire and succeed.
The feedback from these sessions directly informs Administration policy and the President’s plan to create jobs. Tax cuts and hiring incentives for small business owners and entrepreneurs, investments in infrastructure, manufacturing and a ready and trained workforce and the streamlining of government regulations, programs and services are all a direct result of these conversations. The conversation on August 9th will be an opportunity to further explore how the Administration can partner with the business community in Illinois to help the region grow and thrive.
This invitation is non-transferable. The event is free of charge, though pre-event registration is required and space is limited. This event is closed press. Please direct any questions and RSVP to Matt Duffy at matt.duffy@dekalb.org or (815)756-6306 .
