Holiday shoppers will have an opportunity to purchase last minute gifts from local vendors and benefit Safe Passage at the same time on Saturday, December 19 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Federated Church of Sycamore, 612 W. State St., Sycamore.
Admission to the “Last Minute Gifts Market” is a $1 donation to Safe Passage, 15 years old and younger are free. Ten percent of vendor sales will also be going to benefit Safe Passage.
There are 25 vendors signed up to sell at the event with items including books, jewelry, food gifts, cosmetics, candles, handmade goods, and more.
“Safe Passage is the only agency for DeKalb County that provides shelter, advocacy, counseling, and hope to people in DeKalb County who have experienced domestic and/or sexual violence,” Mary Ellen Schaid, Executive Director of Safe Passage said. “We do all we can to help victims become survivors who go on to thrive.”
This is an opportunity to help local sellers and a local non-profit at the same time while putting finishing touches on holiday gift purchases.
