24 Hour Theatre Project
TICKETS ON SALE FOR 2nd “24 HOUR THEATRE PROJECT”
SANDWICH – PR Productions announces details on an exclusive opportunity for theatre goers.
Performances of the “24 Hour Theatre Project: Take Two”, presented by PR Productions of Sandwich, are to be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012 and at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2012. All performances are held at the Sandwich Opera House, 140 E. Railroad Street, Sandwich.
Tickets are now on sale for $12.00 in advance and $15.00 at the door, and can be purchased by visiting www.wewantpr.com or by calling PR Productions at 815-797-9565.
Cast members for the “24 Hour Theatre Project” are from Sandwich, Plano, Oswego, Genoa, DeKalb, Sycamore, Somonauk, LaSalle and Peru.
The project will test the abilities of local performers, tasking them with creating a full length theatrical performance in just 24 hours time.
Cast members will gather on the evening of Friday, July 20, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. At that time, specific details on the project will be announced to the project members, including what show will be performed. Rehearsals will begin immediately and will continue for 24 hours. At the conclusion of that time, project members will break for one hour, and then open the show for public performances.
“We understand that this is a tough sell,” explained Chris Roe, Co-Founder of PR Productions, and resident of Plano. “We’re asking audience members to buy tickets to a show that will remain a secret until a day before opening.”
Roe promised that the show is one that features many recognizable songs and dances.
“When we were planning the project, we knew we needed a performance that was family friendly,” he said. “The show we will present to the audience is packed with songs that everyone will love.”
“Patrons are in the dark,” said Kris Pagoria, co-founder of PR Productions and resident of Sandwich. “We’re asking for people who love theatre to support this project. We will announce what the show is on Friday night after the cast begins their vigorous 24 hours of rehearsal.”
Pagoria said that a lot of information is being revealed daily on the group’s Facebook page.
“We try to release a new secret every couple of days,” he said. “If you like our Facebook page, you can watch videos from our entire cast, read about the project and be the first to find out what the show is once we reveal it to the cast.”
