Violence in the Community from a Law Enforcement Perspective
DeKalb County: The Community Violence Prevention Taskforce of the DeKalb County Partnership for a Safe, Active and Family Environment (DCP/SAFE) is sponsoring a community presentation on Tuesday, August 7th from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. at Ben Gordon Center Community Room – 12 Health Services Drive in DeKalb.
The topic of the presentation is “Violence in the Community from a Law Enforcement Perspective”. Chief Gene Lowery of DeKalb PD, Lt. Cary Singer of Sycamore PD, and Det. Sgt. Brad Carls of DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department will be on hand to provide their perspective on violence in their jurisdiction, current trends and concerns, and share effective violence prevention strategies. The public is invited and encouraged to attend – this is a brown bag luncheon.
