Lets talk New Year’s Eve…

Celebrate New Year’s Eve early with a complimentary New Year’s Toast at 6:00 only at O’Leary’s Restaurant and Pub in downtown DeKalb. 6pm in DeKalb is midnight in Ireland, so make plans to start 2012 off on a lucky Irish note. Try their Hangover Burger on New Years Day. A Hangover Burger is a cheeseburger with a fried egg and bloody mary sauce and tastes much better than it sounds. It’s a sure for cure most headaches! Hometown Sports Bar & Grill will celebrate New Year’s Eve with a live DJ starting at 9:30, dancing, drink specials, and free champagne toast at midnight. Ring in the new year the right way at Hometown Sports Bar & Grill located at 241 E. Lincoln Hwy. in downtown DeKalb.

New Years Eve will be the final night for Tapa La Luna in downtown DeKalb. The owners have stated that their customers have been great. Their staff has been great. The food was great. Unfortunately the economy is not so great. Drop in and say goodbye to this unique establishment and plan to have dinner and drinks there one last time.

FatBoyz Pub and Grill is celebrating New Year’s with Naughty Toy Bingo starting about 8pm. Tons of fun for all the adults!  They will be open until 3am on New Year’s Eve. Complimentary Champagne toast at midnight. Fat Boyz is located at 332 W. State St. in downtown Sycamore.

      my man Maynard… Grants are for not-for-profits and while that is the reality for many restauranteers these days on paper they’re in it to make money. Tapa’s served excellent food and their staff was great. The building is vastly improved. There just ain’t enough customers with expendable income these days. I wish the best for all concerned with the Tapalaluna story.
