Youth Service Bureau Bike Auction

ysbauction13Are your kids ready for summer?! Are you looking for a great deal on a newer bike? Or, do you have bikes sitting in your garage that you’re just not sure what to do with? Well you’re in luck!! The Youth Service Bureau’s Bike Auction is this Saturday, May 18th! Registration is at 9am and the auction starts at 9:30am.

Bids for bikes start at $5. They have over 180 bikes and more to come, with a wide variety of bikes related to size and type. Garage sale items are also available, everything must go!! For more information, or to donate bikes, please contact the Youth Service Bureau at 748-2010 or visit the website at www.dcysb.org. All proceeds benefit the youth of DeKalb County.

The auction is held in the agency’s parking lot at 330 Grove St., located across from the DeKalb Police Station. Almburg Auctioneering will be providing their expert auctioneering abilities and The Lincoln Inn will be bringing pastries for sale.

YSB’s May Bike Auction Saturday

This Saturday, May 19th, is the DeKalb County Youth Service Bureau’s (YSB) May Bike Auction from 9am-noon.  Each year the DeKalb Police donate bicycles that have not been claimed to the YSB to auction. The YSB also takes bikes from the public for the auction. If you have a bike you’d like to donate, please contact them at the number below. Proceeds are used to help the YSB  enrich the lives and relationships of youth ages 8 to 18 and their families, as they have been doing for the past 40 years.

Garage Sale items will also be available for purchase – everything must go! The auction is held in the parking lot of YSB – 330 Grove Street, DeKalb,  on the corner of 4th and Grove Streets.  Registration and viewing begins at 9am, bidding at 9:30am. Bids start at just $5. YSB May Bike Auction and Garage Sale

It’s that time of year again!  Dust off those bikes, air up those tires, and adjust those helmets.  Don’t have a bike?? Have the kids outgrown theirs?  Come to the annual YSB Bike Auction this Saturday, May 21st.  You’re sure to find a new bike at a great deal, while supporting YSB and DeKalb County Youth.

YSB’s Corn Fest Bike Auction!

Come to the DeKalb County Youth Service Bureau’s Corn Fest Bike Auction this Saturday, August 21st and find a bike at a great deal, while supporting YSB and DeKalb County Youth! Bidding starts at $5.00!

Lots of bikes for auction, including Huffy, Mongoose, Trek, Next, and many others. YSB will also have garage sale items for purchase on the day of the auction. Viewing starts at 9am, bidding at 9:30am. The YSB and Auction will be located at 330 Grove Street, DeKalb, IL, in the YSB Parking Lot (SW corner of Grove and 4th Streets).

YSB Bike Auction this Saturday

This Saturday, May 22nd is the Annual Spring Bike Auction hosted by DeKalb County Youth Service Bureau, 330 Grove St., DeKalb. Viewing Saturday, May 22nd, starts at 9:00am. Auctioning is from 9:30am-noon.

There are more than 100 bicycles available for auction including brands like Giant, Roadmaster, Mongoose, Murray, Diamondback, Trek, Schwinn and many others. Many bikes will be sold for as little as $5 each. Proceeds support counseling and other services for youth and families in DeKalb County. Garage sale items will also be available, and refreshments will be available for purchase.

Picture is of Dallas Smith with the bikes he bought at the YSB Bike Auction in 2006. Dallas bought 30 bikes, fixed them up and got 25 good bikes out of the lot. He then gave the bikes to children at Giddeon Court in DeKalb, many of whom had never owned a bike before. His mom, Gracie Mott is still very proud of that selfless act.
