Billy Croft & The 5-Alarm is a red hot smokin’ country rock band. With music from the best of country rock legends like The Eagles and Linda Ronstadt, to contemporary hits by Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, Sugarland and so many others, to his own music dedicated to service workers from the heartland, Billy Croft & the 5-Alarm will leave you begging for more. This is ‘get up and dance’ type fun music. Billy’s commitment to service lead him to became a fireman; his love of music to form Billy Croft & The 5-Alarm. Now he brings it all together for rockin’ good fun to everyone around them.
Sycamore Summer Concert in the Park is this Thursday, July 19th. Come see the Sanctified Grumblers at the Good Tymes Shelter at the Park District Sports Complex off of Airport Road from 7-8:30pm. Enter the park off of Airport Road.
Sanctified Grumblers write and play acoustic music in the vein of the old blues, jug band, and old timey traditions with a sprinkling of New Orleans rhythms. Their sound is formed from a mesh of finger picking resonator guitar, washboard, harmonica, 6-string banjo, clarinet and occasionally a sousaphone The Summer Concerts in the Park are sponsored by the Sycamore Park District.
Come join Genoa Park District for some enjoyable music at their Summer Concert in the Park. Bring your lawn chair and blanket and sit back and relax and enjoy some great music. The band dupage will be bringing their mix of Rock, R & B, Pop and Adult Alternative that attracts all age groups. Covering the hits of Motown, the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and 00’s, dupage plays an amazing mix of classic and adult contemporary rock, from Rock to Disco to Country to today’s Top 40 hits. They have performed at numerous outdoor concerts and family festivals and always bring lots of smiles (along with hula-hoops).
The Summer Concert in the Park is this Friday, July 20th at 6:30 pm at Chamberlain Park in Genoa. The event is free. Concessions will be available for purchase. No alcohol is allowed. Sponsored by the Mary Stevens Concert & Lecture Fund.

This concert will feature Smokin Gunz , a top 40 Country Band from the suburbs of Chicago (see video below).
Throwing country music dance parties every weekend in the Tri State area, Smokin Gunz was voted Best Country Rock Band 2011 by the Chicago Rocker Newsletter and voted Best of the Burbs by SuburbaNites Magazine. The concert begins at 6:30pm Friday and will be held in Chamberlain Park in Genoa, 400 East Second Street. No alcohol or pets allowed. Concessions will be available for purchase. Grace Mott is an NIU alumni with a BS in Family Social Services graduating with high honors. She began her working career as a Juvenile Probation Officer, then was in charge of the teenage runaways through the DeKalb County Youth Service Bureau. She owned and operated a campground in southern DeKalb County from 1990 to 2000. Since then, she does both sales and fulfillment for DeKalb County Online's parent company, eWorldLinx.
Gracie has served as Board President of the DeKalb County YSB; on the Board of Directors of the Shabbona-Lee-Rollo Historical Museum and for the DeKalb County Building and Development Association.
