It’s not too early to think about holiday gifts for friends and family, and the 23rd annual Wonderful World of Christmas craft show is a good place to start shopping from 10am to 4pm, this Sunday, November 13th, at the Genoa-Kingston High School just west of downtown Genoa on Route 72.
With more than 100 crafters and businesses displaying and selling wares, starting and finishing shopping in one day is a real possibility. Crafters come from more than 25 communities including Schaumburg, Capron, Geneseo, Cherry Valley, Roscoe, Caledonia, Mount Morris, St Charles, South Beloit, Cedarville, Montgomery and surrounding towns. Just a few of items available include American doll clothes, string puppets and G-K school apparel. Bake sales, food booths and more than 300 grab bag gifts will be available as well.
Santa will arrive at 11am and stay until 1:30pm to hear special wishes. Admission is $1 for adults and 50 cents for children, with more than 100 chances to win door prizes. A drawing will be conducted for a hand-crocheted afghan and a 50/50 cash drawing will take place at the end of the show.
