Bark on the Block

Enter your four-legged friend in the first ever Bark on the Block competition. In conjunction with Sycamore’s Block Party this Saturday, September 18th,  is Bark on the Block at 3pm. Categories include; Dog/Owner look-a-like, Best Bark, Best Trick, Best Costume and Best Personality.

Huckleberry’s Pet Parlor is having a booth at the Sycamore Block Party on the corner of Somonauk and Elm. They are kicking off the event by handing out FREE balloons to the kids at 3pm. Their Bark on the Block competition will start at 4pm. Registration forms are available online and at their location, 423 N. Main Street, in Sycamore. Prizes will be awarded to the Top Dog of each contest.

Huckleberry’s Pet Parlor is having a booth at the Sycamore Farmers Market this Sunday, August 15th from 11am – 1:30pm and they are offering:

  • Free Nail Trims
  • Free Ear Cleanings
  • Free Pet Grooming Advice
  • Pet Grooming Demonstrations (what comb, brush to use on your pet)
  • Bring your pet and stop by the Huckleberry’s Pet Parlor booth!

Bark for Life

This Saturday is the DeKalb County Bark for Life event at the Sycamore Community Park. The American Cancer Society Bark For LifeTM is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer.

By supporting Bark For Life, you help the American Cancer Society save lives, and that helps us move closer to our ultimate goal of creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

So bring your best canine friend and join them for a fun-filled day starting with a walk, and then continuing with demonstrations, contests, and games. Huckleberry’s Pet Parlor in Sycamore will be offering canine nail trims for only $5. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. Registration is from 9-10am and the Walk starts at 10am.
