Steven R. Agee II, NIU Student, Shot Dead At Off-Campus Party

UPDATE: Chaz Thrailkill, 19, of Markham was arrested in DeKalb today on a warrant and charged with first-degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated battery with a firearm, in the death of Steven Agee, 22, of Park Forest.

Thrailkill is not an NIU student; he was reportedly visiting a friend, and got into an argument with the victim at a party.There was no indication of drugs or alcohol playing a role in the crime.

DeKalb County State’s Attorney, Clay Campbell said if convicted, Thrailkill could face a possible sentence of 20 years to natural life in prison for the first-degree murder charge, and up to 30 years in prison on each of the other two counts.

Steven R. Agee II, Northern Illinois University Student,  was shot dead at  an off-campus party around 2am this morning. Below is the report from Channel 7 News.
