Indian Valley Theatre (IVT) is now taking registrations for it’s two Summer Theatre Workshops. With these two sessions, IVT offers children of all ages a fun, safe and rewarding atmosphere to learn about theatre and build confidence. Whether this is their first exposure to theatre or they are already comfortable on stage, IVT has a place for everyone.
IVT’s first workshop session, Children’s Theatre Workshop, will be held June 18th thru June 29th (Mon. – Fri.) and is for students entering 1st grade in the fall through 8th grade. The cost for the two-week program is $80.00 per student. Now in its 29th year, and under the direction of Christine Roe, IVT’s Children’s Theatre Workshop continues to create quality children’s theatre enjoyed by everyone. This year’s theme is Knight of the Dragon, which takes place in an ancient land full of creatures that include fairies, knights, gnomes and of course a dragon. The heroine of the story is a pampered princess who dreams of being a warrior and going on great adventures. Every child is cast in a part adapted to fit their specific talents and needs that allow them to explore, imagine, create and have fun through the world of theatre arts.
