The folks at Sycamore Speedway are excited to be starting the 2012 race season this Saturday, April 28th. Come out to the season opener for Super Late Models, Late Models, Spectators, Powder Puff and Compact races. Gates open at 6:00 p.m.; Time Trials are at 7:15 p.m; Races start at 8:00 p.m.. They have been blessed with some beautiful weather and that has helped them get into full swing for the year. Race fans will notice some updates to the building and fencing but most importantly a brand new racing surface. They have been fortunate to find blue clay to add to the race track and have been putting in long hours to make sure they have a great racing surface. The track is a little bit wider than what we have seen in the past and after watching the ladies and gentlemen of racing practice on it last Saturday, they predict some exciting races in 2012!
