Voting Begins Feb. 9, 2012

SYCAMORE, IL – In person and at home, (absentee), voting begins on February 9th, 2012. This release outlines the voting opportunities and schedule for all forms of voting between February 9, and March 20, 2012. When voting early, the voter must have with them a valid federal, state, or other government issued identification.

At Home, (Absentee Voting):
Voters interested in voting from home, or absentee must submit their application to vote, download at www.dekalbclerk.com, or contact the office at 815.895.7147, on or before March 15, 2012.

After completing the application, the ballot will be mailed directly to the address you specify. The ballots, after voting, must be postmarked no later than 12:00 Midnight, March 19, 2012; and must be received no later than 14 days after the Election.

Voting, (through Election Day):  Voting in person begins February 9, 2012. Voters interested in voting in person may do so at the following locations, between February 9, and March 19, 2012.

Feb. 9 – March 19
Monday, Tuesday, and Friday: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Wednesday: 8:30 am to 7:00 pm
Thursday: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

NIU – Holmes Student Center
Feb. 27 – March 2
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Thursday: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
Friday: 8:30 am to 12:00 pm

City of DeKalb
(Annex Building)
March 5 – March 9
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Thursday: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
Friday: 8:30 am to 12:00 pm

City of Sandwich
March 12 – March 15
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Thursday: 8:30 am to 12:00 pm

Please note, regular voter registration ends on February 21, 2012; however, each Early Voting Center is equipped for grace period voting through March 13, 2012.

If you must register through the grace period, please bring two forms of identification that confirm you local mailing address and place of residence, (e.g. utility bills, valid state ID, mortgage or lease agreement, etc.).
