The 5th Annual Wine on the Terrace at Ellwood House Museum & Estate is this coming Saturday, September 15th, from 4pm to 7pm. It’s a spectacular evening of wines, elegant appetizers and music in the incomparable setting of the Ellwood House porches and gardens. Five distributors showcase their wines on the grand terraces of the museum.
They will serve an array of fine wines and unique appetizers on the Ellwood Mansion terrace while guests listen to the beautiful harp music of Kate Cockle. As visitors linger on the terrace sipping a selection of wines, they can take a self-guided tour through the first floor of the mansion, or they may choose the Visitor Center for desserts and coffee. A silent auction of elegant offerings and gift certificates will take place throughout the afternoon and evening. The food and appetizers are provided by Inboden’s, a local gourmet shop and meat market.
Cost for the event is $50 per ticket. Wine on the Terrace is a benefit for the nonprofit Ellwood House Association. The Ellwood House is located at 509 North First Street in DeKalb. Visit the Ellwood House Museum’s website to learn more.
