The Greater Area Kirkland Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Christmas in Kirkland at the Alpine Bank this Saturday, December 1st from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Santa will be at the Bank to visit with children, parents, and grandchildren. Please feel welcome to take pictures of your child with Santa Claus. Santa will arrive at 9:00 A.M. by horse drawn wagon and the wagon will be available for free rides during the celebration.
The Hiawatha Schools Band and Chorus will provide Holiday Music prior to the award presentation at 10AM and after the presentation for all of the guests. Elementary children in the Hiawatha Schools will be judged on art work and written essays from grades K-8 and $25.00 prizes will be given for each winner at each grade level. Prizes for the house lighting contest will be awarded at the Alpine Bank at 10 AM as well as the student prizes. Holiday refreshments will be available at the bank.
The Kirkland United Methodist Church will be sponsoring its annual breakfast from 7 AM to 10 AM. Please bring paper products for donation to the Kirkland Food Pantry. Prices for adults will be $6.00, children $3.00, and children under four will be free. Christmas crafts will be made at the church during the breakfast.
