The Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary Annual 8k/2k “Run for the Woods” at Potawatomi Woods Forest Preserve in Kirkland, IL is this Saturday, June 1st, 2013. The Run for the Woods at Potawatomi Woods is of the annual fundraisers to promote the county woods in our county. Come out to participate in the 8k road race or the 2k walk. The race will start at the shelter house in the park and travel out onto the road for a square mile and end up back at the shelter house for nice flat 5 mile run. The 2k walk will be held on the trails in the forest preserve.
The Run for the Woods registration opens at 7:30am Saturday and the race begins at 9am. Potawatomi Woods is located just north of Kirkland, IL., at 32199 Kirkland Rd., Kirkland, IL, 60146.
