How Medications Interact with Foods with Dr. Shih

Have you been told you shouldn’t eat grapefruit because of your medication? Join Cardiologist TianChu Shih, DO, to learn about how certain foods affect the potency of medicine.  How Medications Interact with Foods with Dr. Shih is June 12, from 6:30 – 8 pm, at Valley West Community Hospital, or June 13, from 2 – 3:30 pm, in the Valley West Medical Office Building. Girls Only…Your Changing Body

This program is for 9 – 12 year old girls and their moms. The natural physical and emotional changes a young girl experiences can be overwhelming and puzzling. Knowing what to expect can lessen anxiety and make the transition smoother. $10/family. Girls Only…Your Changing Body meets June 19, from 6 – 8 pm, in the Valley West Medical Office Building. Blood Pressure Clinic

Valley West nurse volunteers offer free weekly blood pressure checks at Valley West Community Hospital every Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. Just walk in, no registration is required.
