Creative Therapeutics Hosts Free Bladder Health Class

bladderhealthDo you experience a certain “accident” while sneezing, laughing, or exercising? If you do, you’re not alone. More than 25 million Americans—men and women, young and old–are affected by either bladder or bowel control issues. And most of the people who are affected simply accept these problems and don’t realize that they can get help.

Since incontinence is a symptom rather than a disease, the method of treatment depends on diagnostic results. Most treatment involves a combination of medicine, behavioral modification, pelvic muscle exercises, and assorted products. Despite the high success rates in treating incontinence, only one out of every 12 people affected seeks help.

Prepare yourself by becoming more knowledgeable. Creative Therapeutics, a physical therapy clinic in DeKalb, is offering a free class on Wednesday, Nov. 11 to learn more about what you can do to treat or prevent continence problems as well the importance of the pelvic floor to overall health. Anyone is welcome to attend this free class, and to bring questions.

For your convenience, this class will be held once in the morning and again in the evening. The morning class takes place from 10:00 am-noon; the evening class runs from 6:00-8:00 PM. Creative Therapeutics is located at 400 E. Hillcrest Dr. in DeKalb. November is National Bladder Health Awareness month.
