The DeKalb Public library will be closing for six weeks beginning Monday, December 7th. They will re-open with the brand new addition on Monday, January 18th at 9:00 a.m.
Before they are closed:
- Ask for an extended loan period.
- Inter-Library Loan will be suspended starting on Wednesday, November 25th. Holds will not be placed on DKPL items or held at DKPL.
While they are closed:
- Their website, including eBook services, databases, calendar, and online catalog will remain fully functional.
- You may use the new book drop, which will be on the West side of the addition, to return materials.
- They will be answering the telephones, so please do not hesitate to call them at 815-756-9568.
- Keep current with general updates by signing up for the weekly eNewsletter, “Bookmarks”, and following them on Facebook and Twitter.
- Feel free to check out your books from other local libraries. Your card is always good at these libraries!
