Get in on District 428’s First Ever Holiday Toy Drive and Toy Drive Basketball Game this Monday, December 7th, 2015. DeKalb Police Officers and DeKalb Firefighters are teaming up for a basketball battle against the staff of DeKalb’s two middle schools. There’s also talk of a 3 point contest between the two teams. Don’t miss it!
Huntley Middle School and Clinton Rosette will be hosting the basketball toy drive to assist families in the community during the holiday season. For entry into this Toy Drive basketball game and the 8th grade game that precedes it, bring a new toy to donate.
District 428’s First Ever Holiday Toy Drive Basketball Game will be held at Huntley Middle School at South 4th and Barb Streets at 5:30pm Monday. The DeKalb Park District will be facilitating the Toy Drive deliveries.
The DeKalb Police Station now has a collection box for Toys for Tots in their lobby at 700 West Lincoln for the local Toys for Tots program. New and unwrapped presents can be dropped off any time for this program, but toys must be in the box before December 12th. Volunteers will collect the toys at that time.
