Fara Maniaci, Massage Therapist at Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists, recently completed two continuing education courses. The American Massage Conference held in Tinley Park, Illinois, focused on various hands-on and informational sessions including deep tissue techniques, trigger points, scar release therapy, and pediatric touch therapy. The Multiple Point Stimulation Ultimate Pain Therapy conference held in Ocala, Florida focused on learning advanced treatment strategies to assist in managing complex orthopedic dysfunctions for each region of the body, including chronic pain. The course presented many techniques to evaluate and treat soft tissue, joint, and neuromuscular dysfunctions.

Fara is a licensed massage therapist and enjoys offering massage therapy as well as co-treating patients with our physical therapists in our DeKalb Resource Parkway and Genoa clinics. She is interested in promoting wellness and implementing massage therapy as a great tool for the client who experiences chronic pain or tension. A script from a primary care physician is not necessary, therefore clients do not have to wait for approval from their insurance, nor are they limited to a certain number of visits to receive massage therapy.

A privately owned local business for 37 years, Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists has built a solid reputation and strong relationships within the communities it serves. Northern Rehab strives to treat patients in a professional, yet fun and friendly atmosphere providing quality, skilled hands-on physical and massage therapy with an emphasis on one-on-one physical therapy care provided by the therapist.
