STEM LEGO Robotics Offered at NIU Saturday


stemoutreachNIU STEM’s popular LEGO Robotics courses combine the creativity and hands-on fun of LEGOs with the exciting challenges of building and programming real robots. In this beginner level class they will introduce students to all the concepts needed to start designing and programming their own robotic creations. No prior experience in robotics or programming is required!

This course is the perfect place to start for students who are interested in our upcoming LEGO Star Wars courses, but haven’t yet had experience using the LEGO robotics kits. Suggested ages 10-14. The Robotics course will be held at NIU’s Swen Parson building, Room 146 this Saturday, January 23rd, 2016 from 9am until noon and the cost is $42. Grace Mott is an NIU alumni. She began her working career as a Juvenile Probation Officer, then was in charge of the teenage runaways through the DeKalb County Youth Service Bureau. She owned and operated a campground in southern DeKalb County from 1990 to 2000.
