Target’s Upstream Distribution Center in DeKalb, Illinois will donate thousands of new and unworn kids and adult clothing pieces to local organizations. The items were recently used for testing for the new, expanded facility.
Several local organizations—including DeKalb County Youth Service Bureau, Children’s Learning Center, Elder Care Services, Love, INC. and Permanency Action Team of DeKalb County—are invited to participate in a free “shopping spree” on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Target Upstream Distribution Center on Macom Drive in DeKalb. Each invited organization is able to select up to 4,000 different clothing items Target brand clothing items ranging from baby and toddlers (mostly for girls) to children and adults. Also included: underwear & socks and pants (mixed seasonal) and some bedding. Target volunteers will be on hand with bags for packing and loading up.

Our work with them has grown into a strong partnership outside of United Way campaign time. We were so glad Jason Helton, Production Controller, reached out to us for help in pulling together this event!” says Jackie DiNatale, Coordinator of Outreach, Kishwaukee United Way.
