The Sandwich Fair begins Wednesday!

sandwichfair162The Sandwich Fair begins this Wednesday, September 7th and runs through this Sunday September 11th, 2016.  The Sandwich Fair (DeKalb County Fair) is the oldest continuing fair in the state of Illinois. See distinctive buildings on beautiful tree-lined grounds, an ever-evolving array of exhibits, commercial displays, agricultural displays, harness races, truck and tractor pulls, demolition derby, carnival rides, food stands, and a variety of other attractions. One of this year’s highlights is Country Music Awards New Artist of the Year, Frankie Ballard taking the stage on Friday, Sept. 9th, at 8 p.m..

There’s plenty of free entertainment everyday as well! See Buttons the Clown; Banjo Buddies Dixieland Trio; Dan Barth Entertainment; Carrie McQueen-Stilt Walking and Juggling; FFA Farm Zoo; Antique Farm Machinery; Arts and Crafts Demonstrations; Indian Valley Theatre-Melodrama’s; Balster Magic Productions, Inc.; Maggie the Milking Cow; Rob Thompson’s Pure Magic and Mariachi America, all for free!

The 128th Sandwich Fair hosts the Midwest’s largest display of agricultural and home arts exhibits. General admission to the Fair is $9 for adults, $6 for children 6-12 and those under 6 are free. Season passes can be purchased for $22/adults and $8 children. Other specials can be found on the Sandwich Fair website. See each day’s full schedule of events below!
