DCBDA DeKalb Candidates Meet and Greet Thursday

The DeKalb County Building and Development Association (DCBDA) would like to invite the community to a City of DeKalb Candidates Meet and Greet this Thursday, March 16th beginning at 5pm. All Mayoral, Aldermanic and School District #428 Candidates have been invited.

The DCBDA will be hosting this event on the evening of Thursday, March 16th. The Meet and Greet will be held at Kishwaukee Education Consortium (KEC) which is located at 21255 Malta Rd., Malta (on the Kishwaukee College campus). Doors will open at 5:00pm and there will be a social hour until 5:30 when a recently completed study titled “NIU MBA Housing Study” will be presented. The power point will be presented by Jason Michnick City of DeKalb, Economic Development Planner.

After the presentation the evening will continue with each candidate invited to give a brief overview of their campaign.

The Culinary students at KEC will be showing off their skills with a variety of appetizers for the enjoyment of the guests.

Grace Mott is an NIU alumni. She began her working career as a Juvenile Probation Officer, then was in charge of the teenage runaways through the DeKalb County Youth Service Bureau. She owned and operated a campground in southern DeKalb County from 1990 to 2000. Since then, she does both sales and fulfillment for DeKalb County Online's parent company, eWorldLinx. eWorldLinx also has made and maintains over 100, mostly local, business websites.
