Letter to the Editor, endorsing LISA HEPKER for CITY CLERK in Sycamore, IL
We, the undersigned, have worked with Extension Educator Lisa Hepker for the past five years, volunteering through the University of Illinois Extension in Ogle County.
Lisa is extremely organized, and a PROACTIVE LEADER, always ahead of the curve. Her people skills are exceptional, whether it be working with 4-year-olds, 90-year-olds, and everyone in between. If you have a problem or issue and needed help, Lisa made herself available to help solve the problem.
She also didn’t hesitate to try new programs, gathering the knowledge, materials, and people, to carry it out. Communicating and developing working relationships are also some of her strongest traits. Lisa has the ability to delegate the right person for a specific job. Her positive attitude, enthusiasm, and energy make it a joy to be around her, and work with her.
Lisa has launched many new programs that benefitted veterans, food pantries, low-income families, schools, libraries, and park districts in her primary work counties of Boone and Ogle, while still helping organizations and low-income children in her community.
We recommend Lisa for the city clerk position. Her leaving the University of Illinois Extension will be an enormous loss, especially felt by us here in Ogle County. To the residents of Sycamore, you have a very special person running for office, we encourage you to vote for Lisa on April 4th.
