Pellet Gun Incidents in DeKalb


Over the past week the DeKalb Police Department has investigated the report of several pellet gun incidents. Suspects are firing pellet guns from vehicles causing property damage. Suspects are additionally firing pellets at pedestrians and have caused minor injuries to victims. The suspect vehicle in these cases vary, different vehicles were used in the commission of these acts. All incidents occurred in the northwest quadrant of the city.

The DeKalb Police Department Recommends the Following Safety Tips to Citizens:
*Always be aware of your surroundings
*Walk with another person or in a group (not alone)
*Walk on well-lit, busy streets
*If approached, obtain a physical description of the suspect(s)
*If a vehicle is involved, try and obtain the license plate number

The DeKalb Police Department investigators are currently following up on leads. Please report any suspicious activity or persons immediately to the DeKalb Police Department.
