The inaugural TruckTober Fest event hosted by the Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary Club recently held on September 24 was a great success! The Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary extend their gratitude to the community for supporting this fun, family-friendly event at Faranda’s. All donations collected at this event went directly to support the Rotary’s Community Grant for Children, Youth, and Families. Grant funds are distributed to local organizations that have projects which positively impact the lives and well-being of children, youth, and families. This year’s grant recipients include the DeKalb County Community Gardens and the DeKalb County Youth Service Bureau.

Our appreciation is extended to First National Bank, Faranda’s Banquet Center, Tinez Tacos, Lukulos, Betty Jeans Sole Food, Sycamore Country Store and Catering, DeKalb County Youth Service Bureau, NIU Athletics, Pro Sound Productions, State Representative Bob Pritchard, and DeKalb County Community Gardens.

We also wish to acknowledge and thank our event sponsors: Premier Sponsor First National Bank, Shaw Media-the Daily Chronicle and the Midweek, Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists, Heartland Bank, Kenda Jeske, David Dosier, B95 Radio, ADC Hosting, Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group-Diane Hammon, Ideal Industries, North Central Cyclery, OAS-O’Higgins & Arnold Sustainability LLC, WLBK Radio, Anderson Funeral Home, Academy Solutions LLC, Faranda’s, Pro Sound Productions, State Farm-Jeff Keicher, and State Farm-Scott Zeimet.
