Leaf Collection Continues Through November

The City of DeKalb’s Public Works will continue leaf collection through the end of November. Beginning November 13, crews will begin in the south half of DeKalb and work north toward Lincoln Highway. The following week, beginning Monday, November 20, crews will start on the north half of the City and work south. Schedules may change due to weather conditions.

Waste Management will also collect leaves, curbside, on your regularly scheduled
garbage day through December 1. Leaves must be placed in biodegradable yard-waste
bags or open garbage cans. Leaves placed in plastic bags will not be collected.

Also, for residents’ convenience, landscape waste dumpsters will remain in place
through December 3 at the following locations:
• Southeast corner of North 7th Street and Oak Street
• Fire Station #2 – 1154 South 7th Street
• City Garden Plots – 950 West Dresser Road

City offices are closed November 23 and November 24 for the Thanksgiving Holiday
