Man Being Served Arrest Warrant Runs into Waterman Backyards


On 11/20/17 Waterman Police assisted the DeKalb county Sheriff’s Department with serving an arrest warrant on Trenton J. Kwaitek (22) of the 2300 block of Laurel Lane is Sycamore. Kwaitek, who is on the Illinois Murderer and Violent Offender Against youth Registry, was wanted on a warrant for failing to register.

Kwaitek fled on foot from the Officer and Deputy, ran north across Rout 30, and into the residential area and back yards in the 500-600 block of Wilson Street. Kwaitek was taken into custody by Police Officers and Auxiliary Police Officers from the Waterman Police Department. Kwaitek was arrested on the warrant and charged by Waterman Police with Obstructing a Peace Officer. Failure to Register is a Class 3 Felony and Obstructing a Peace Officer is a Class A Misdimeanor. Kwaitek was unable to post bond on the warrant and obstructing charge and was transported to the DeKalb County Jail by Waterman Police.
