Maple Park Hires New Police Chief


On December 5, 2017, the Maple Park Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Dean Stiegemeier, as the new Police Chief in Maple Park. Chief Stiegemeier has 40 years of experience in law enforcement. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. He is a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command, as well as a Certified Police Chief through the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police.

As the Chief of Police for the City of South Beloit, Illinois, he provided direction and
leadership to a department of 16 full-time and part-time, sworn and civilian personnel, and will retire on December 31, 2017. Before that, he was with the Village of Carpentersville, Illinois, Police Department for 34 years.

We are very pleased to announce that Police Chief Stiegemeier’s first day will be on
Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
