The Physics of Hockey at NIU STEM Cafe Thursday


A body at rest…gets checked into the boards. So Sir Isaac Newton may have observed, had he seen how hockey’s sizzling slap shots and body-crunching collisions illustrate his Laws of Motion in action. Join particle physicist and hockey enthusiast, Dr. Mike Eads as they explore the scientific intricacies of cold steel on ice.

This STEM Cafe event takes place this Thursday, February 1st from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at
