Community Alert: Monday March 19th


On March 19th , 2018 at 8:02 am, a female student at Clinton Rosette Middle School was walking to school on North 1st Street. The student reported that a male approached her in a car and asked her age. The student reported that she was frightened and continued walking until she could notify school officials. The male drove away without any further interaction. The school officials contacted the DeKalb Police Department.

The driver is described as a dark-skinned male with long braids. The vehicle was described as a maroon or burgundy 4-door sedan.

The DeKalb Police Department has increased patrols near the schools and the routes that
children walk. The department is continuing to investigate this incident as suspicious activity.
