Indian Valley Theatre’s 35th annual Summer Tween/Teen Theater Workshop will present “Alice” on Saturday, July 28th with performances at 2pm and 6pm. “Alice” is a shortened version of the classic “Alice in Wonderland” with rights by Theatre Folk Publishing. The show is specially geared for middle school and high school youth.
The audience will see many familiar faces including Alice, the Catapillar, the Cheshire Cat, and the Queen of Hearts. This production includes youth, entering 7th grade through recent high school graduates, from surrounding communities including Sandwich, Somonauk, Hinckley, Yorkville, and Hinckley. The workshop is being taught and directed by Michele Wade with college aide/asst director, Zoe Michaels. Melanee Beeks has graciously offered to help with costumes and set pieces.
For the past 2 weeks, students have explored their inner talents, developed self-confidence, worked on team-building, and discovered all the facets required to rehearse and perform a full length play in a fun, safe and rewarding atmosphere. Indian Valley Theatre’s Summer Tween/Teen Theatre Workshop has a rich history of creating quality theatre that is enjoyed by participants, family, and friends.
Instead of pre-sold tickets for “Alice”, donations will be taken at the door for both shows.
