Melodramas by Indian Valley Theatre at the Sandwich Fair
Indian Valley Theatre is gearing up for the 131st annual Sandwich Fair, with TWO classic and comedic Melodrama performances. Shows are interactive and audience participation is not only encouraged but welcomed! So come boo, hiss, cheer and clap at this year’s IVT Melodramas @ The Sandwich Fair, Wednesday, Sept. 5th through Sunday, Sept. 9th.
The first Melodrama is “Robber’s Roost” by John Burkhart and directed by Sue Graham. Come meet Ma Quigley and her criminals/outlaws…Slowpoke Jones, Slippery Sam Sidewinder, Ramona Scalawag and Lovely Annabel Smith, with show times on Wednesday 9/5 @ 6 & 8 p.m.; Friday 9/7 @ 8 p.m.; Saturday 9/8 @ 2 & 6 p.m. and Sunday 9/9 @ 12 noon & 4 p.m.
The second Melodrama is “Just Another Melodrama” written and directed by Kaitlyn Gradert. Get to know Miss May and Miss June, April, Scarlett, Hank and of course the Sheriff. They will be performing on Thursday 9/6 @ 6 & 8 p.m.; Friday 9/7 @ 6 p.m.; Saturday 9/8 @ 12, 4 & 8 p.m. and Sunday 9/9 @ 2 p.m.
So hitch up the horses and bring the whole family to see these two exciting Melodramas. The Indian Valley Theatre Tent is located on the East Side of the Fairgrounds, inside the Sandwich Fair, near the Gate 1 Entrance. Tickets are only $4.00 per show and can be purchased at the IVT Melodrama Tent along with popcorn to eat or throw at the Villains. Other snacks and drinks are also available for purchase. Children under 3 sitting on laps are free and so are the laughs!
