Village of Somonauk Seeks Input

What do you like best about Somonauk? What changes would you like to see in the future? These are some of the questions the Village of Somonauk is hoping area residents, business owners and organization leaders will take the time to answer on upcoming surveys.

The surveys, one for people living in or near Somonauk and one for businesses and organizations, will be available to complete online over the next several weeks. Paper copies of the resident survey are available at Village Hall and other locations. As an incentive, area residents completing the survey can choose to enter a drawing for a $50 prize. Responses to both surveys will be confidential and only summary information will be included in discussions that will shared with the public later.

“We appreciate the financial support of the DeKalb County Community Foundation in making this research possible,” said Aaron Grandgeorge, Village President. “The Village will use the information gained from the surveys in planning for improvements that strengthen the area as a place to live, operate a business or run an organization.”

The Center for Governmental Studies at Northern Illinois University is assisting in conducting both surveys.
