Kishwaukee United Way’s Day of Caring Committee is planning their 15th Annual Community-Wide Day of Caring that is scheduled for Thursday, June 20, 2019.
This event promotes teamwork while giving people an opportunity to volunteer and make a difference in the community. Day of Caring matches teams of volunteers from businesses, schools, faith communities, and community groups with non-profit agencies in DeKalb County who are in need of hands-on help.
Volunteers will work on projects throughout Sycamore, DeKalb and the county for not-for-profit agencies of United Way and other organizations who need a helping hand. Projects start at 9:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. and require 1 to 3 hours to complete.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Kishwaukee United Way at (815) 756-7522 or email: info@kishwaukeeunitedway.com.
Please also stop by Hopkins Park at 8:15 a.m. on June 20, 2019 to kick-off the day’s events at our volunteer rally.
