Music at the Mansion concert series continues at the beautiful Ellwood House in DeKalb (IL). The next event will take place Wednesday, July 24. This will be the “Country at the Mansion” show featuring “Back Country Roads.”
Back Country Roads is a six piece band based out of the DeKalb/Sycamore, IL area. BCR performs at all sorts of fairs, festivals and events throughout the Midwest region and have opened for dozens of national Country acts. They play mostly current Top 40 Country hits, with a few older selections thrown in the mix as well, and will occasionally leave the Country genre a little bit which gives the audience some variety. The main show starts at 7:00 p.m. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the music.
The opening act will be “LP Unplugged.” This group will do a variety of styles from blues to country to contemporary. This dynamic duo includes Ruth Scott on vocals and Ed Smith on guitar. LP Unplugged with be making their premiere appearance at Music at the Mansion. The Music at the Mansion series encourages local groups and entertainers to apply to be showcased. The opening act starts at 6:30 p.m.
There will be refreshments available to purchase, including a nice selections of beers and wines to purchase hosted by Fatty’s Pub and Grille in DeKalb. New this year will be a party pack of cheese, sausage and crackers for sale by Tom & Jerry’s Restaurant in Sycamore. This concert is co-sponsored by the Bill & Rita Finucane Family and Syndeo Networks.
These concerts are free and are very family friendly. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy some of the 2019 season series. Parking is available near the Ellwood Mansion as well as the Clinton Rosette school and Congregational United Church of Christ parking lots. Arrive early for best parking locations.
