The DeKalb County Economic Development Corporation hosted an open house and ribbon cutting to showcase its new location and offices. Paul Borek (Executive Director ), Karen Hoyle (Administrator) and other DCEDC Board members and staff greeted members of the community and the various Chambers members from throughout the county. Guests were given a tour of the new complex including the new conference complex.
The DeKalb, Genoa, Sandwich, and Sycamore Chambers of Commerce, DCEDC staff and board members attended the event and congratulated DeKalb County Economic Development Corporation on their new location. In attendance were Mayors from DeKalb (Jerry Smith) and Sycamore (Curt Lang), DeKalb Chamber Director Matt Duffy, Sandwich Chamber Director Geri Benning, Illinois State Representative Jeff Keicher, DeKalb City Manager Bill Nicklas along with a variety of business owners, community leaders and directors of related economic development organizations. The new office of the DCEDC is now located at 2179 Sycamore Road, Unit #102 DeKalb (IL).
