In a press release released by the City of DeKalb, the Krusinski Construction Company announced that the firm will start the site development and mass grading at the proposed ChicagoWest Business Center in DeKalb, Illinois.  Krusinski Construction Company is prepping the land for future development and will have a variety of construction vehicles on-site starting when the weather breaks.

According to Krusinski Construction Company, the Chicagoland industrial markets continue to demonstrate strong fundamentals, and interest in the DeKalb area confirms a positive time to move forward. With the resources the City of DeKalb provides, such as a strong labor market coupled with workforce partnership with Northern Illinois University and Kishwaukee Community College, there’s good reason businesses are looking further west along the I-88 corridor. Other attractive benefits, include: The Enterprise Zone, 10-year Real Estate Tax Abatement, strong infrastructure, and the support of a pro-growth atmosphere that will attract a strong business community.

The project is slated to start once all paperwork is completed with the various agencies. Krusinski Construction Company has owned the land in the far south side of the city for several years. When and if completed, the ChicagoWest Business Center will attract hundreds of jobs offering a variety of employment opportunities and residual benefits for the DeKalb community.
