Everyone deserves to earn a living wage. There shouldn’t be any barrier between working an honest day in exchange for a living wage. For anyone. Have you heard the battle cry for living wages?
There should be no starving artists. Not a single impoverished worker. A living wage for everyone who works a fruitful day. Yes to a trampoline for those who take a short fall from earning a living wage and, of course, a safety net to catch those falling farther.
You think? Surely only an old dried up selfish pitted prune would disagree.
So those of us who all agree must be the 99%.
Here come the sticking points…
How much is a living wage? Most in the middle class are worried about losing their living wage jobs. Is that the standard? Whatever that standard is how to apply it to all who work an honest day? What’s an honest day? And finally, who can afford living in a world where everyone working earns a living wage?

The living wage varies from community to community. In DeKalb, it’s about $15/hour, mostly because of the high cost of housing.
