The DeKalb County Directory is a web directory of and for the local community. It is maintained by our editors who review and evaluate submitted sites for inclusion. We don’t accept all sites. Included websites must be businesses, organizations, service providers, entrepreneurs, etc., that have a physical address inside DeKalb County Illinois* and provide products and/or services to local residents.
Each and every local business, organization, service provider or entrepreneur is invited to submit their link for inclusion in our local business directory FREE of CHARGE. Enhancements are provided as a value added service for our paid sponsors.
Online since 1997 DeKalb County Online has built a local network that provides dynamic marketing opportunities for independent business operators. If you are a local bricks and mortar business operator, product or service provider, don’t spend one dime on SEO/SEM “optimization” plans until you contact Gracie Mott for more information.
We will not include sites with content or material that includes pornography; libel; material that infringes intellectual property rights; and material that specifically advocates, solicits or abets illegal activity (such as fraud or violence). We may reject, delete, or edit submissions that violate these policies or that we otherwise believe, in our sole discretion, should not be included in the directory. We may also reject, delete, or block other sites that we believe to be associated with a user who has violated these policies.
Sites that are incomplete, contain “Under Construction” notices, or contain broken graphics or links may not be accepted.
The directory is hierarchically arranged by subject. Our editors will select the category based on review of your website.
If your site has been accepted for inclusion in the directory but you are dissatisfied with how the site is categorized, described or titled, go to our Contact Us page, and fill out the form explaining your disagreement.
* Exceptions to this policy are the following communities: Burlington, Earlville, Lee, Maple Park, Paw Paw, and Rollo.
