Join in for a fun and enjoyable bike ride through DeKalb and Kane Counties and support the historic Egyptian Theatre at the same time this Saturday, August 19th. Since the ride starts and ends at the Egyptian Theatre, you will have the opportunity to explore the historic landmark that the Ride benefits.
This bike ride offers four mix-n-match 25-mile loops. All participants will be provided with route maps and all routes will be marked with signs. There will be great SAG support on all loops and a well-stocked central rest stop. Bike at your own speed, this is not a race. All ages are welcome, however, those under the age of 16 must ride with a participating parent or guardian. There will be an end-of-ride meal provided for registered riders. Meal will feature soup, sandwiches, and refreshments.
Registration costs $30 for adults and $10 for youth 16 and under. Registration for “Ride Like An Egyptian” is tax-deductible. Registration runs from 6:30am-9:30am; riders must start by 9:30am. End-of-ride meal starts at 10:30am and ends at 4:00pm. All routes close at 3:30pm.
All riders are required to wear bicycle helmets. Use of headphones (ear buds, etc.) are prohibited. All ride participants must obey State of Illinois traffic laws applicable to bicycles.
