The DeKalb County Community Foundation (DCCF) is working with DeKalb County Leaders, businesses and residents to identify issues, concerns, goals and priorities within and for the Union/Virgil Ditches & East Branch Kishwaukee Watershed. Due to tomorrow’s (March 5) anticipated snowstorm, the Workshop for the Union/Virgil Ditches & East Branch of the Kishwaukee River Watershed scheduled for Tuesday, March 5th at 7:00 p.m. at the DeKalb County Farm Bureau is cancelled. You are encouraged you to attend the Thursday, March 7th Workshop at the DeKalb County Community Foundation Depot from 7 – 8:30 p.m. instead.
The workshop is targeted toward farmers, landowners, residents and businesses of DeKalb and Kane Counties, Burlington, Campton Hills, Cortland, Elgin, Lily Lake, Maple Park, Sycamore and Virgil. Do you live in the above watershed study area (see map)? Are you interested in learning about watersheds and what you and your family and business can do to alleviate flooding and improve the waters that sustain your community?
Come to the Watershed Planning Workshop on Thursday, March 7 (at the DCCF Freight Room) from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. to learn more. For more information contact Anita Zurbrugg: anita@dekalbccf.org
